STORE YOUR WATCH
Preserve your watch by storing it when it is not on your wrist. You don’t know where to put your automatic watch or your quartz watch when you take it off for several days, when you sleep, or when you do manual activities? All our Pierre Lannier watches are always accompanied by a storage case. Keep this case, it can be very useful, we are never safe from a fall or a disaster. Well stored in a case, your watch will not get dusty or see its colors fade. For the avid collector, look for discreet and elegant storage cases that hold up to five of your favorite accessories. These cases also allow you to transport your watches to the four corners of the globe without risking damage.
BE CAREFUL WITH SHOCKS
Your watch is a fragile and precious object, so take precautions. Avoid wearing your watch during strenuous sports or manual activity. With the perspiration and humidity of your wrist, your leather straps could also be damaged during these practices. Even if our watches are resistant and made to last, small everyday shocks can quickly damage the movement or the dial. So be careful, don’t endanger your watch, preserve it!
MAGNETISM, THE ENEMY OF YOUR WATCH
Keep your watch away from magnetic fields such as computers, cell phones, bag clasps, speakers, appliances, etc. These magnetic fields can disrupt the operation of your watch if they are in constant proximity.
CLEAN YOUR WATCH
We don’t necessarily think about it, but simple maintenance gestures such as cleaning your favorite object are very important to ensure that your watch lasts and that its appearance remains intact. Over time, dirt can become embedded in the various parts of your watch. Use a soft cloth, microfiber cloth or a soft brush to clean the parts of your watch. Lightly scrub the case glass, sides, back and bracelet (Milanese or steel). Do not use any chemical products, they will not work well with your watch.
DO NOT OPEN YOUR WATCH
We do not recommend that you dive into a DIY workshop with your watch. This practice requires meticulousness and precision, as well as real watchmaking savoir-faire. You risk damaging the movement, the functioning or the water-resistance of your watch. So if you have a problem, go to one of our partner jewelers, these professional watchmakers have the expertise and the right equipment to fix the small problems of your watch.
