YOUR QUARTZ WATCH
In a quartz watch, the heart of the watch is the integrated circuit. The division of time is operated by a quartz oscillator vibrating under the effect of the electrical energy supplied by a battery. We advise you not to leave your watch with a discharged battery, as this could damage the movement of your watch.
YOUR AUTOMATIC WATCH
Mechanical self-winding watches that use only wheels and springs to tell the time, on the other hand, work thanks to the energy produced by the movements of your wrist. Therefore, make sure your watch strap is well adjusted to your wrist, a loss of autonomy is possible if this is not the case. Instead of the battery and the electrical circuit that make the hands turn at the right rhythm, it is a weight that rotates as soon as the watch moves that supplies energy to the mechanism and makes it turn. Ideally, your automatic watch should be worn daily to ensure that the movement runs smoothly. Wearing your watch regularly will prevent the oil contained in the movement from freezing. However, if your watch should stop after the period of autonomy, the crown must be wound manually: from bottom to top about twenty times. The movement will then return to its original function. Once the time has been set, your watch is ready to be worn.
In addition, we advise you to regularly wind your automatic watch manually to boost it even if you wear it every day. This handling will guarantee better precision and a longer life for your watch.
